Routing a domain to Hukot.net

If you do not have a domain management at Hukot.net, but you use our webhosting services, follow these instructions. We will make the settings using NSSET (for .CZ its enough to enter NSSet, other TLDs require you to change the name servers - we have 3 of those, more info lower) or by changing DNS zone - type A record.

1) Setting up NSSET

Inside administration panel of your domain registrar, set your NSSET value to "NSSET-HUKOT".

In case you have your domain outside of Hukot.net management, set your .CZ domains NSSET value to "NSSET-HUKOT". Other domains will require you to set individual NS record to values "ns1.hukot.cz", "ns2.securitynet.cz", "ns3.hukot.cz".

This will allow your domain to use our DNS servers and remain with the original registrar. If you have any DNS records kept outside of Hukot.net hosting, you can adjust the DNS administration for your domain in admin.hukot.net.

We do not recommend changing separate DNS A records with the use of CDNs

IP changes according to location - therefore it is ideal to use our DNS servers.

2) Changing DNS records

We can find the address required for change of A record.
The address required for changing DNS A record can be found in administration of hosting services admin.hukot.net.

Log into administration of hosting services admin.hukot.net.

Go to tab "Webhosting", you'll see a tabular overview of all available webhosting and domains. Choose the webhosting to which the domain will point. Look for your cluster - EAM or VIX.

The illustration is in preparation.

According to the web hosting server, we will use the IP addresses from the following table to route the domain to the hukot.net servers.

Before changing, we recommend that you adjust the TTL for the DNS A record to the smallest possible value. eg to 300 (5 minutes)

Webhosting server

IPv4 Address (DNS record A) IPv6 Address (DNS record AAAA)
VIX 176.102.65.65
46.36.36.153
2a02:25b0:aaaa:1::4
2a02:25b0:aaaa:1::8
EAM 176.102.64.64
46.36.36.152
2a02:25b0:aaaa:1::3
2a02:25b0:aaaa:1::7

In the administration interface of your domain administrator, we will set both IP addresses of the web server (the VIX or EAM server will always have 2 records / IP DNS type A) as individual DNS records of type A.

Editing DNS MX records

It's required to change MX records inside DNS settings to send e-mails.
Change MX records according to the following table:

Type Value MX Record Priority
MX mail.hukot.net 10
MX mx2.securitynet.cz 100

We're done :)
