RDP access lockout - Windows 11 - error code 0xd07

If you are using a virtual server with the Windows 11 operating system and connect via Remote Desktop (RDP), you may encounter an issue where the remote server refuses to connect and gives you the following error message:

"Unable to connect. We couldn't connect to the remote PC because the user account has been locked due to too many sign in or password change attempts. Wait a little while, and then try connecting again, or contact your network administrator for assistance. Error code: 0xd07"

This is the default protection of Windows 11. It can be disabled using the following procedure:

1) Log in to Windows 11 via Terminal on the VPS directly from the admin panel at admin.hukot.net

2) In the search, find the file gpedit.msc and run it as administrator.

3) Go to Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Account Lockout Policies --> then set 'Account Lockout Administrator' to Disabled.

You must have a very strong password set for the user you are connecting with via RDP!!!
